Angry Birds is a castle destruction type game and it is ridiculously addicting! You basically slingshot birds into “castles” in order to destroy the green pigs within. The game has a different birds that have different abilities to destroy the structures. It will easily keep you entertained for hours on end.

Shift Lite

This little gem is a great thinking game.  Your goal is to get to the door by running, jumping, avoiding spikes, and collecting keys that move obstructions.  The cool part is that you can ’shift’, meaning you can flip the screen by transferring/flipping from white areas to black areas to get to keys or to your final destination.  Perfect for passing time.

Recently I have been doing some freelance job hunting and I’ve found CraigsMobileList to be quite helful in sifting through the craigslist search results. The app also allows you to bookmark searches, post ads, favorite certain results and set filters for your searches. As well as keep a recent city search list (helpful if you are looking state-wide results.) If your an “usual” on Craigslist, then this app if for you!

TxtDrop is a web-app that allows you to send text messages to anyone’s cell phone (it also supports international users; however, it is not an iPhone web-app). I was initially concerned about privacy, but after reading their Private Policy (and viewing other trust-website-lookups), it look safe. If you are worried about getting spammed you can add your phone number to their block call list. I thought this was a nice as I have never found a “truly” free text messaging as some of the apps that do this still cost to purchase them [Free- Web link]

TwitterBox seems to be my second most used Twitter app at the moment. If you are one of those people that follows A TON of people, but still actually wants read you family, friends, news or other Twitter accounts? Then this might be an app to consider. TwitterBox allows you to sort the people (an searches) you are following into categories (known as Boxes in-app). It is a quick and and intuitive application that also includes all the standard features of Twitter. As a plus it also has Auto-updating. [$1.99 - iTunes link]

Pocket Tanks Deluxe has been around for some time now as a PC & Mac game but now it is available on iPhone! Pocket Tanks Deluxe is a 2D tank artillery game. This isn’t just a port of an old game, the controls & interface have been completely re-done. The game finally follows it’s name – you can really take Pocket Tanks in your pocket! It is similar to iShoot, but it has better graphics, more weapons, & more colors; it has single (you vs. CPU) & dual-play as well as target practice sessions. Yes, Tweetero is a Twitter application and while is has all the usual standard Twitter actions, what put this on my radar was that it allows you to save Tweets that you can send later. Of course it doesn’t have all the nifty features of say, Birdhouse, but it is nice to have the option to save, edit and send later (or even send all saved). The interface is rather simple and the Home layout is reminiscent of Tweetie, best of all this little gem is free! [Free - iTunes link]

Snapdat is a creative app that allows an user to send digital business cards to people. The receiver, by email obtains a digital picture of the business card as well as a vCard attachment for importing into their address book. This is a handy application to have when you are caught off guard and don’t have a business card on hand. Using a “SnapID” you can share your cards with other Snapdat users and retain a directory of all the cards you have received. The receiver does not need an account with Snapdat in order to receive one. [Free - iTunes link]

Having been playing this game for the past couple of weeks, I have thoroughly enjoyed playing it. Many of you will probably know this game, some of you may not. For those of you who don’t , Myst is a complex puzzle game in which you must find a way of a deserted island/world. The footprint of the game is somewhat large, but worth it (about 720MB.) I really liked the sound the game provided, as they didn’t go short on sound design. I rarely felt like there was repetition in sound, which can be a drawback for other games. [$5.99 - iTunes link]

3D Gallery allows you to create your very own virtual art gallery. There are controls on screen that allow you to maneuver through two virtual galleries with photos on the walls. The really great feature here, is that you can customize the photos on the walls with your own art. You can also re-size or move the photos on the wall. Ouch is the best game to release some stress When you have had a really bad day and want to beat the crap out of someone, Ouch will come to your rescue. The whole object of the game is to create as much pain to the avatar as possible. The app allows you to not only play the levels, but also allows you to customize them as well. [$2.99 - iTunes link]

TwittMS is an application that turns your Twitter account into an SMS-like application I never really thought of Twitter as using it as an “SMS” app, as for one, the interface didn’t feel right. But this application takes care of that. It acts just like SMS but with some cool features. [$1.99 - iTunes link]
